• 25% of fatally injured teen drivers had alcohol in their system with a BAC of .08 or above.
• 54% of the people who die in automobile accidents are the drivers, 44% are the passengers.
• In 2001, 8,137 drivers between the ages of 15 and 20 were involved in fatal crashes. Out of these accidents, 337,000 people were also injured.
